Long Distance Pipeline Inspection

Pipeline Inspection: LDROV Much of the worlds potable water supply and sewer infrastructure installed at the beginning of the 1900's is coming to the end of its working life.  To assist water utility, power engineering firms, pulp mill operators and other water users with their pipeline maintenance and rehabilitation programs,  SeaView Systems has developed a specialized ROV system for performing long distance pipeline inspections capable of observing and objectively measuring the condition of tunnels and pipelines.

Capabilities

Our Long Distance ROV (LDROV) pipeline inspection system is capable of performing very detailed inspections of even the smallest flooded pipelines.

10,000+' Penetration
We currently carry 10,000' of neutrally buoyant fiber optic umbilical.  This is a figure that satisfies most of our projects.  We could tool to go further on a project-by-project basis.
Fiber Optic video/data transmission
Using fiber optic technology allows us to maintain high quality video over the very long umbilical runs. In addition we are able to carry many different sensors as the job requires.
Accurate penetration depth measurement
Our system allows the depth of penetration to be accurately measured from within the pipeline. Penetration depth accuracy of <0.3% is currently achievable.
Objective measurement techniques
Not only are we able to perform very high resolution video inspections but we are also able to very accurately measure the pipeline by using a profiling sonar.  If required, this data can be processed to give a 3D representation of the inside of the pipeline.
