The SVS-708-400 Surface Power Supply and SVS-709-400 SubSea Power Supply provide smart power management capabilities that extend the available power and umbilical power transmission capabilities for Observation Class vehicles such as Blue Robotics BlueROV2, custom vehicles and many others.

The next-generation electronics included with the SVS-708-400 Surface unit enhances the capabilities of ROVs for demanding inspection and tooling operations. The SVS-708-400 Surface Power Supply displays:
• Output voltage
• Output current
• Line insulation resistance

The SVS-709-400 SubSea Power Supply has been designed from the ground up to exploit the latest in high power solid state electronic component that enable rapid response to the dynamic current draw of challenging ROV operations. This allows operation over a much broader voltage range with greatly improved reliability.

In addition to the standard output voltages (16, 24, and 48V) provided by the off-the-shelf VPSU configurations, the output voltages can also be configured to specific values as required for particular applications. The required output voltage can be specified when ordering a VPSU (SVS-709 series product).

For example, the 24V VPSU can be configured to output at any voltage in the range from 14V to 26.4V. (Similarly, the 48V VPSU can be configured to output in the range from 28V to 52.8V.)

In addition to customizing the output voltage, because of a severe shortage of the components that are used in the standard 16V VPSU design, we also provide a 16V system that is produced by adjusting the output of a 24V system to output anywhere in the range from 14V to 26.4V.

For any such adjusted output voltage, the available power from the VPSU will be in proportion to the ratio of the adjusted voltage to the standard voltage. For example, for a 24V supply rated for 2kW output which has been adjusted to produce a 16V output, the available power will be two thirds (16/24) of the rated power, namely 1333.33W.
